Bulk Actions let you apply one-off actions to many contacts at once from Contacts or Smart Lists. This article walks through how to bulk add contacts to an automation using Add to automation, including how to select all contacts and how scheduling works (all at once, scheduled time, or drip mode).


Add contacts to an automation (Bulk Actions)

Using the Bulk Actions feature in Contacts or Smart Lists, you can apply a one-off action to multiple selected contacts at once.

Step 1: Choose your contacts

  1. Navigate to Contacts (or a Smart List).

  2. Check the box next to the contact records you want to update.

  3. To select more contacts:

    1. Check the box at the top of the list to select all contacts on the current page.
    2. Click the hyperlink to select all contacts in STRINGConnect.

Step 2: Choose your action

  1. Choose the Add to automation icon.

  2. In the pop-up window that appears, select an automation from the dropdown list.

  3. Choose the scheduling for this action:

    1. Add all at once to process immediately.
    2. Add all at scheduled time to process at a future time.
    3. Add in drip mode to process in groups or batches.

Note (Drip mode): The repeat after setting does not repeat the entire process. Instead, it works like run every. For example, if you set 100 contacts every 5 hours, the system processes 100 contacts every 5 hours until all selected contacts have been processed.
