This article walks through connecting Google Analytics 4 (GA4) in a STRINGConnect workflow, including where to find your Measurement ID and how to create an API Secret.
Access your STRINGConnect account
Navigate to workflows
In STRINGConnect, go to Automation → Workflows.

Create or select a workflow
Add a Google Analytics action
In the workflow, click Select Action or the + icon.

Choose Google Analytics 4
In the action type dropdown, select Google Analytics 4.

Get your Measurement ID
In Google Analytics, go to Admin → Data Streams.
Open the correct web stream and copy the Measurement ID.

Paste the Measurement ID into STRINGConnect
Paste the Measurement ID into the Measurement ID field.


Create an API Secret in GA4
In Google Analytics, go to Admin → Data Streams.
Open the relevant stream.
Click Measurement Protocol API Secrets.
Create a new secret and copy the value.



Privacy note: Before GA4 lets you create an API Secret, you must acknowledge the required privacy disclosures.

Paste the API Secret into STRINGConnect
Paste the secret into the API Secret field.
