If your email looks great on a computer but images appear stretched, too large, cut off, or out of proportion on a phone, you are not alone. This is one of the most common issues in STRINGConnect's email builder. The good news is that it is usually fixable with a few quick adjustments. This guide walks you through why it happens and what to do about it.

Why Images Look Different on Mobile

STRINGConnect's email builder is designed to be responsive, meaning it tries to automatically resize content for smaller screens. However, images can still look off for a few reasons:

• The image was uploaded at a very large width and is being scaled down inconsistently
• The image is sitting inside a multi-column layout that does not stack well on mobile
• The image width is set to a fixed pixel size that is wider than a phone screen
• Padding or margins around the image are throwing off the proportions
• The image dimensions do not match the column it lives in

Step 1: Preview Your Email on Mobile First

Before making any changes, confirm what you are actually seeing.

1. Open your email template or campaign in STRINGConnect
2. Go to Marketing -> Emails -> Templates (or Campaigns)
3. Open the email and look for the device preview icons at the top of the editor toolbar
4. Click the mobile phone icon to switch to mobile view
5. Scroll through the entire email and note which images look wrong

Tip: The in-editor preview is a good starting point, but always send a test email to yourself and open it on an actual phone before considering it done. What you see in the preview is not always exactly what renders in a real inbox.
