Adding a chat widget to your WordPress site gives visitors a fast way to contact you and helps your team capture and respond to leads.

Step-by-step

Step 1: Set up your chat widget in STRINGConnect

1. In STRINGConnect, go to Sites and select Chat Widget.

   

2. Choose your widget type.

   • SMS / Email Chat: Captures visitor info so you can reply later.

   • Live Chat: Real-time chat for teams that can respond quickly.

   • WhatsApp Chat: Two-way chat through WhatsApp.

     

3. Personalize the widget to match your brand (colors, fonts, styling, greetings).

   

4. Click Save.

Step 2: Install the WordPress plugin

1. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New.

2. Search for Lead Connector.

3. Click Install and then Activate.

   

   

Step 3: Connect WordPress to STRINGConnect (API key)

1. In STRINGConnect, go to Settings → Business Profile → General Information.

2. Copy the API key.

   

3. In WordPress, open Lead Connector.

4. Paste the API key into API Key.
